We are proud to say the Galva K-Kids group is leading a project introduced by Mr. Becker, The Veterans Legacy Project. This meaningful project will allow our students and families to honor the veterans in their lives who have long passed or are still with us. We will remember these veterans at our Veterans Day assembly each year, where we acknowledge their service and sacrifices.
To participate, we invite parents and students to fill out a form with information about a veteran in your family. The form will include the veteran's name, date of birth/death, dates of service, and wars or conflicts they served in. A picture of the veteran would be great to include. Pictures can be emailed to edulla@galva224.org. Include names and dates with emailed images. The completed forms will help us ensure each veteran is recognized with the respect and gratitude they deserve. A link to the form is found below.
Please complete the form and return it to school by November 8, 2024. If you have any questions about the project or need assistance filling out the form, feel free to contact us.
