Thank you to everyone who supported our Spring Scholastic Book Fair recently! The purchases by students and families resulted in $2706.61 scholastic dollars that can be used by the Galva Elementary Library for new books and resources! Our 2nd grade students excitedly continued their visits to Courtyard Estates to read with our friends down the road! Thank you to Galva Rotary and the HS Interact Club for assisting with the visit! Our 2nd graders also received some new books to take home from the Rotary Club!
Fourth-grade students had guests from the Henry County Farm Bureau today. The Henry County Farm Bureau Young Leaders shared with students about the many careers associated with agriculture. Students learned there are more than 23 million agriculture-related careers, yet only 1% of the earth’s population has a job in agriculture.

Mrs. Peters' math students were engaging in "Number Talks" today. The students were supposed to represent 1/3 in any way they could. These are examples from 5D students. When they did a Gallery Walk, any person who saw a mistake put a question mark by the representation. #GalvaProud

Representatives from Kewanee Family Dentistry paid a visit to our students in grades K-5 last Friday. Students were able to gain insights into dental hygiene and other important dental practices.
