Friday, March 27th is an 11:30am Dismissal Day for all students. Our students and staff are on spring break next week. School resumes on Tuesday, April 7th.

Baseball will compete with St. Bede at the Galva Park District @ 4:30 PM.

Galva Varsity Lady Cats collected two wins this week. On Monday, Alison Bussell lead the team with four hits in four at bats. Galva Varsity Wildcats tallied 15 hits in the game. Kaylyn Gale, Jovie Weber, Alison Bussell, Danielle Wigant, and Sarah Burris each drove in two runs for Galva Varsity Wildcats. Kinsley Gale collected two hits for Galva Varsity Wildcats in four at bats. Amber Plummer struck out 11 batters on the day. She surrendered two hits and one run over five innings while walking one. Tonight, the Galva Varsity Wildcats defeated Bushnell-Prairie City Behind Strong Performance From Amber Plummer Amber Plummer struck out 10 batters as the pitcher led Galva Varsity Wildcats past Bushnell-Prairie City 11-0 on Thursday. Plummer surrendered zero hits and zero runs over four innings while walking two. Galva Varsity Wildcats accumulated 12 hits in the game. Danielle Wigant led Galva Varsity Wildcats with three hits in four at bats. Kaylyn Gale, Weber, Bussell, Wigant, and Burris each drove in one run for Galva Varsity Wildcats. Kinsley Gale collected two hits for Galva Varsity Wildcats in four at bats. Kinsley Gale stole two bases. Galva Varsity Wildcats play at home on Saturday against Erie-Prophetstown in their next game.

JH Scholastic Bowl is headed to Monmouth United for a 4:00 PM matchup.
Varsity Track is traveling to Wethersfield to compete at 4:00 PM.
Softball is hosting Bushnell Prairie City at 4:30 PM at the Galva Park District.

McTeacher Night is Tuesday! We hope to see as many students and families as possible at Kewanee McDonald's. All sales help support Galva Elementary School!

The junior high scholastic bowl team was on the road tonight at AlWood. 🚙🧐🧠Our season is just starting to heat up. The 7th graders fought hard but fell 190-160. The 8th grade team also came up short tonight with a score of 300-90 We will keep working and be back at it on Wednesday at United! 🐾

1st Grade takes home the Attendance Challenge Victory from last week! Mrs. Lucas and Mrs. Wigant's classes had a combined attendance rate of 99.1% Great job! Popsicles and an extra 20 minute recess belong to 1st Grade!
