A big shout out to the Galva FFA Horticulture Team for taking 1st place at the Section III Horticulture CDE held at BHE on 4/3/25! Our 14 FFA members showcased their skills by identifying plants, judging plant classes, diagnosing plant disorders, interpreting landscape designs, and taking a written exam.

Our Junior High Scholastic Bowl team hosts United at 4:00pm! Stop in the High School Library to watch the match.

Galesburg Theatre Festival in cooperation with Crossroads Cultural Connection is bringing Theatre workshops and classes to your area. Bishop Hill Creative Commons will host acting classes for students grades 4 - 12. Classes will include acting lessons and theatre games. A production of The Taming of the Shrew will be presented as a final project to families and community. Classes will meet every Tuesday evening the month of April and May. Enrollment fees and forms can be found at www.gtf.show. A free and open to the public open house will take place on Monday, March 31 at (7 p.m.) Join us at The Bishop Hill Creative Commons at 309 Bishop Hill St., Bishop Hill, IL. Refreshments and activities will be enjoyed. Robert Thompson, teacher, actor, and director will lead the classes. Robert has a lifetime of theatrical experience and holds a Master's Degree in Acting from The University of Connecticut. He has taught at Sandburg College, Knox College, Monmouth College, and Western Nebraska Community College. Robert has a vast and rich background of creativity and knowledge that he will share.
