🚨🏃♀️🏃🚨The high school cross country team had a HUGE night at the LTC meet at Midland!! Charlotte Famer dropped almost a minute off her season record finishing in 26:27! Randal Engels dropped 2 minutes off his PR and broke 20 minutes for the first time, finishing in just 19:35! John Clemons also dropped a minute off of his PR finishing in 24:18! I wouldn't believe these times if i wasn't there to witness it! Great job team!!
The PSAT will be given to all juniors on Wednesday, October 15th. Please have your student here by 8:00am. Breakfast will be served, and then juniors will spend the rest of their morning testing.
This is our second night of conferences. Please stop in to see your child's teachers before 7:00pm.

We are open! Parents are welcome to stop in to meet with teachers this evening until 7:00pm.
TODAY, Wednesday, October 8th, from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Distance Learning Room at the high school for seniors and their parents. (First night of parent/teacher conferences) The student and parent should attend. Students and parents will create their FSA IDs and complete the FAFSA application. Completing the FAFSA application is a State of Illinois graduation requirement for all students. Please reach out to Mrs. Conner with questions.

In Mrs. Betz 7th Grade Agriculture class, students were being introduced to welding this week. Students were able to try our new VR Welder in class on Tuesday.




Congratulations to the Galva FFA Soils Judging Team on an impressive 2nd place finish at the Section 3 FFA Land Use CDE!
Team members showcased their skills by evaluating four soil pits for both agricultural and home use. Their analysis included key factors such as parent material, texture, drainage, slope, and other important soil properties & characteristics.
L. Yelm was the top finisher for Galva with a 6th place finish. In total, 11 schools and over 150 contestants took part in this career development event.
Galva Soil Team Members include: F. Appell, T. Hudson, L. Yelm, L. Piester, B. Burris, M. Williams, and J. Sterling. Great Job everyone!
Shout out to our contest host Annawan FFA/ Alumni for all of their hard work preparing the site and our favorite person of the day Mrs. Conner for her extra sweatshirts to keep our team members warm!
