This weekend!!!! The Galva Drama Club will perform the musical The Lightning Thief at Galva Jr/Sr High School on March 20th & 21st. Based on Rick Riordan's best selling series, The Lightning Thief Musical tells the story of Percy Jackson. As the half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson has newly-discovered powers he can’t control, a destiny he doesn’t want, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail. When Zeus's master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods.

The Lightning Thief is an exciting and rollicking dramatic-comedy appropriate for all ages. Tickets are $10 and available at the door. Doors open at 7 pm and the show begins at 7:30.

🎶 Our 6th grade band members will be performing with the JH Band today at the Jr/Sr HS Band and Choir Spring Concert. The concert begins at 2:30 PM at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Galva. Come out and support a great performance!

Another big indoor meet for Reid with PR's in the High Jump, Long Jump, and anchoring the 4x200m Relay.

Great job from Bryant and Fisher tonight. 2 straight meets with PR's in the mile and the 60m, respectively. Plus a Pr in the 4x200m.

Ben was a force tonight; challenging for the LTC Men's Shot Put Title. He got 3rd overall, but put the rest of the conference on notice! #feedthesecats

We're live on location at the Huff Athletic Center at Monmouth College. The Freshmen Girls brought all their PR's out tonight! Way to start the season girls.

Congratulations to 3rd Grade on a big attendance victory this week! Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Moore's classes have an extra recess coming their way! #AttendanceMatters

On Sunday, March 15th, please join us for our annual Spring Concert at Messiah Lutheran Church as our junior high and high school bands and choirs will be performing a wonderful afternoon of music in an exceptional acoustical setting. Concert begins at 2:30pm and call time for students is 2:00pm. See you there!

🚨 Jr. High track schedule change 🚨 due to the forcasted cold temperatures at the start of next week we will be pushing our start date back to Wednesday March 18th! Practice will be from 3:15-4:30, a parent meeting will follow the first practice. depending on weather the meeting will either happen near the concesion stand or in the elementary school gym. -Coach Harris and Coach McMeekan

On Friday, our fourth graders welcomed guest speakers from the Henry County Farm Bureau Young Leaders. Mrs. Spivey and Ms. Walker shared about their careers in agriculture and introduced students to a wide variety of jobs connected to the agricultural industry.

Students were amazed to learn that more than 22 million jobs are related to agriculture! Thank you to our guest speakers for taking the time to inspire and educate our students about the many opportunities in this important field.

Galva Jr/Sr High School Students from Mr. Stinson's and Mrs. Rodseth's classes were able to witness the Illinois Supreme Court in action today at Western Illinois University. Students listened to cases, and learned about the role of the judicial system.

Due to the weather the softball game with Monmouth United is cancelled for today, March 11.
