On Friday, our fourth graders welcomed guest speakers from the Henry County Farm Bureau Young Leaders. Mrs. Spivey and Ms. Walker shared about their careers in agriculture and introduced students to a wide variety of jobs connected to the agricultural industry.
Students were amazed to learn that more than 22 million jobs are related to agriculture! Thank you to our guest speakers for taking the time to inspire and educate our students about the many opportunities in this important field.

Galva Jr/Sr High School Students from Mr. Stinson's and Mrs. Rodseth's classes were able to witness the Illinois Supreme Court in action today at Western Illinois University. Students listened to cases, and learned about the role of the judicial system.

Due to the weather the softball game with Monmouth United is cancelled for today, March 11.
The district internet is currently down, including school phones. We are actively working on the situation. For attendance issues, please email cmeyer@galva224.org at the jr/sr high, and oclark@galva224.org at the elementary school.
Thank you for your patience as we fix this issue.
Each year the State of Illinois supplies a survey for Parents, Teachers, and Students. The parent survey topics include School Culture, Parent Involvement, Instruction/Academics, and Safety. The survey closes on Friday.

Yesterday after school, our K-Kids officer board traveled to the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Peoria to deliver the pop-tabs our school collected throughout the month of February. Thanks to the generosity of our students, staff, and families, we donated 45.4 pounds of pop-tabs!
These pop-tabs help support the Ronald McDonald House and the families who stay there while their children receive medical care. Everything at the house is provided free of charge to help families focus on what matters most. ❤️
Our students also had the opportunity to take a tour of the facility and learn more about the incredible impact the Ronald McDonald House has on families in need. We wrapped up the evening with dinner and ice cream before heading back to town!
👏 Great job, K-Kids, and thank you to everyone who helped collect pop-tabs and support this meaningful cause!

Arabella Porsche, Eva Nance, and Samatha Faber represented the Galva High School Interact Club at the 2026 Youth Leadership Summit at the District 6460 Spring Training. These young women seized the opportunity to grow as the future of their club and network with other club leaders and Rotary Youth Exchange participants.

I told the basketball boys they should probably take a week off to rest up. Their answer was to show up on Monday ready to roll. We had a big night last night, led by Reid Harris who finished in the top 5 in all 4 of his events! These guys are ready!
